Royal Enfield has unveiled the Himalayan Electric prototype, HIM-E, at EICMA 2023.
While there is limited information available about the Himalayan electric prototype, Royal Enfield has stated that it will serve as a testing platform for the company's newly developed electric powertrains and technologies.
Royal Enfield has utilized Organic Flax Fiber for the bodywork and conducted extensive wind tunnel testing to minimize its drag coefficient. Additionally, they have created an in-house battery pack that serves as a structural component. The development of the battery pack and motor for this prototype has been ongoing for the past 18 months.
While the eventual production of this concept remains uncertain, it is expected to pave the way for future electric vehicle developments.
